Gbadamonsi spoke in Iwo, Osun State on Thursday at the Annual Odun Olodumare celebrations organised by the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi.
The royal father said if fuel subsidy removal that was done by the Tinubu administration, had been implemented in phases by the administrations before, the current hardship Nigerians are passing through would have been avoided.
He said, “If our past leaders had been removing the fuel subsidy gradually, it would not have the harsh effect the way it does now.
“Have the belief that Tinubu will improve the economy of the nation and perform more than our expectations. We need to pray for him, it is not healthy to throw abuses on him.”
Speaking on the annual celebrations, Oluwo said the occasion, during which 50 residents received grants of different sums of money, was designed to celebrate God specially.
He said, “We call on God every day, but today is a special day to celebrate God because he is the owner of the throne. God is the real king.
“We are defining the kingship stool in Yoruba land because every stool belongs to Almighty God and we the kings on earth represent this God. The clerics are the messengers of God. The kings should praise God more. That is why I choose this day to raise him more.”
