According to the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, on Thursday in a statement, the campaigns ended on Thursday.
“In line with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2022, all campaign activities and materials related to the PDP and its candidates in the Saturday, November 11, 2023 governorship election in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi States close at midnight today, Thursday, November 9, 2023.
“Consequently, the PDP directs all our campaign units, support groups and supporters of our candidates in the three States to end all forms of campaign activities accordingly,” Ologunagba said.
He added that the party and candidates will not be liable for any campaign activity and/or material that appears on any platform after the stipulated time.
While thanking members of the party for their support and unrelenting solidarity throughout the campaign period, it mandates all its members, teeming supporters and residents of the three States to resist any attempt by anybody to subvert their will at the election.
“The PDP urges the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies to take every necessary step to ensure peaceful, free, fair, transparent and credible election such that only the Will of the people prevails at the end of the day,” it added.
