Ogbuku, who spoke to journalists shortly after casting his vote at Unit 001 in Ward 3 of Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, said that in spite of the initial glitches, the Independent National Electoral Commission was able to put their machines in order and commended the commission for a job well done.
The NDDC MD, while expressing confidence that the All Progressives Congress will emerge victorious, noted that information from communities around the state shows that the process went on peacefully.
He, however, used the opportunity to assure the people of the Niger Delta that he would use his good office to extend the dividend of democracy to the Niger Delta States.
According to him, the ‘renewed hope’ agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration will touch the people of the Niger Delta.
The NDDC helmsman also visited his community and inspected some ongoing projects.
