The Secretary of the NLC in the State, Comrade Hamisu Hussain, while speaking with our correspondent in his office in Sokoto on Tuesday said the leadership of the union in the state will ensure compliance to the strike.
Hussain said the union leaders have embarked on monitoring and enforcement to ensure banks and other MDAs complied with the directive.
“As you can see, we are just coming back from the field, due to the late information of the strike by all these banks and MDAs, most of them couldn’t join the strike today.
“I can assure you that by tomorrow, we will have total compliance as we have notified all of them no excuse will be taken from anyone tomorrow .”
Also, the Secretary of TUC in the State, Bello Garba, while addressing newsmen shortly before embarking on the monitoring team, said the strike has to be enforced in the state.
He condemned the alleged assault on the National President of the union during the NLC rally in Imo State, saying it could happen to anybody in the country if not checked.
