Table toppers at a big price to avoid defeat to the injury-hit Danes
This appears to be a mouth-watering clash between the top two sides in Group H. They are locked together on 19 points with each team enjoying four successive wins. Both sides are aware that a win will secure their place in Germany for Euro 2024 next summer.
Despite the absence of injured Manchester United pair Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund, Denmark is the odds-on favourite to emerge as the winner from this clash. This is due to their 100% home record in qualifying, but Slovenia will be no pushovers. Matjaž Kek’s side actually tops Group H in terms of goal difference. They held the Danes to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture and can claim a positive result in Copenhagen.

Goals on the menu in Copenhagen
A goal for either nation in this clash will open the game up. A win will guarantee qualification, but with both holding a four-point cushion to Kazakhstan in 3rd place, neither can drop out of the top two with a defeat.
Denmark’s home fixtures have seen an average of 3.25 goals per game. There have been at least three goals in three out of four matches. Meanwhile, Slovenia have seen over 2.5 goals in two of their four away fixtures so far, with an average of exactly 2.5 goals per game.
Bet 2: Over 2.5 goals @ 2.08 with Bet9ja
Action expected at both ends
With over 2.5 goals as one of my predictions, I expect both teams to contribute. As outlined earlier, a win is what both nations crave here. Additionally, GG is available to add to my tips at nice odds.
Denmark have scored in all of their eight qualifying fixtures so far, averaging 2.75 goals per home game. Slovenia have hit the back of the net in all bar one away game in Group H, but they have managed to score in each of their last five fixtures. The head-to-head stats show us both teams scored during the last meeting in June.
Bet 3: GG in Goal/No Goal @ 2.12
Slovenia carry the greater goal threat
Even though Denmark is the favourite to win this match and have won all four home group games, I am taking one of the Slovenians as my goalscorer tip. Denmark will miss their top scorer Rasmus Hojlund, as well as the chief playmaker Christian Eriksen.
The visitors have two main threats to Kasper Schmeichel’s goal. Panathinaikos attacker Andraz Sporar catches the eye and has scored three goals. However, I am selecting Benjamin Sesko to get on the scoresheet again. As his nation’s top scorer with four goals, he has had a positive start to his first season with RB Leipzig. He has managed to score four times in just 422 minutes of action for his club in the German Bundesliga and Champions League, averaging a goal every 105 minutes.
Bet 4: Benjamin Sesko to score @ 4.75 with bet365
