This follows his week-long engagement in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he participated in the Saudi-Africa summit held on November 10.
Tinubu, who arrives in Bissau on Thursday, is visiting the country for the second time in his administration, this time at the behest of President Umaro Embalo.
A statement signed Wednesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, revealed that Guinea-Bissau marked its 50th Independence Anniversary on September 24, 2023.
However, the government had scheduled all celebrations for November 16, 2023.
The statement is titled ‘President Tinubu honours invitation to Guinea-Bissau for Independence Day commemoration.’
Ngelale also disclosed that the President is expected to return to Nigeria on Thursday.
