Villains to come out on top versus Ange-ls
After starting the season with a run of 10 league games unbeaten, Spurs’s form has taken a hit due to a series of injuries and suspensions. This led to defeats in their last two matches.
They seemed to have bounced back from their nine-man defeat to Chelsea as they entered added-on time 1-0 up to Wolves. However, two very late strikes left them heading back to London empty-handed.
Villa can leapfrog the hosts here and climb into the top four. Despite Spurs being the favourite to be the winner come full time, I think the visitors can cause a surprise.
Unai Emery can plot a way for his side to exploit a Tottenham team missing both central defenders (van de Ven & Romero), their best defensive midfielder (Bissouma) and also their most creative player (Maddison).
Bet 1: Aston Villa to win @ 2.78 with Bet9ja
Fast start likely at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Head-to-head stats are pretty irrelevant for this clash. Ange Postecoglou, who took over as Spurs’ manager at the start of the season, has completely changed the tactics employed by several defensive coaches before him.
Unai Emery has shown in the year he has been at Villa that he loves to play an aggressive front-foot style of football with a high defensive line. This indicates that the upcoming match is likely to be an entertaining one.
Only Manchester City have scored more than the visitors’ 29 times, but none can match their total of 46 goals in the opening 12 games of the season. The odds reflect that we should see goals over the 90 minutes, but because both sides tend to start fast, we can add over 1.5 first-half goals to our tips at a nice price.
Bet 2: Over 1.5 first-half goals @ 2.16 with Bet9ja
Totting up the cards for Hot-heads
As already mentioned, Spurs have paid the price for their lack of discipline in their recent defeats. Having been 1-0 up and on top at home to Chelsea, they were reduced to nine men after Cristian Romero and then Destiny Udogie were sent off and went on to lose 4-1. Their makeshift defence couldn’t hold out against Wolves in the following fixture.
Postecoglou has now seen three of his players sent off this season with Yves Bissouma suspended for this game, having collected five yellow cards. Only Chelsea and Wolves have seen more players booked than Spurs, who have received 34 yellow and 3 red cards. In three of their last four home games, at least four players have been booked.

Cash in on Matty
There will be a host of attacking talent on display in this clash. However, the final selection in my predictions is for a defender to get on the scoresheet. Matty Cash has had the most shots of any Premier League defender this season with 19, 16 of which have been in the box, showing his advanced play.
Ten of those attempts have been on target and he has already scored twice this term. Fifteen of those attempts at goal have come away from home and he has had at least one shot in every road trip so far this campaign. He stands at great odds to add to his tally against a depleted Spurs defence.
Bet 4: Matty Cash to score @ 10.00 with Bet9ja
