A gospel singer, Benita Okojie, says that her new song titled, Ijesu Mhen, which means ‘My Jesus’ in her native Ishan (Edo State) language, celebrates God’s goodness.
In a statement sent to Sunday Scoop, Okojie, who used to be child star following the success of her hit song, Osemudiamen, which was released over 25 years ago, noted that the new song, which dwells on thanksgiving, was inspired by personal experiences in her ‘journey of faith’. She added, “Gratitude is a must. I have ‘tasted’ Jesus, and I can boldly proclaim that the Lord is good. The song acknowledges the goodness of Jesus.”
According to the statement, the new song, produced by song writer and producer, Rotimi Keys, will also be included in her forthcoming album set to be released in 2024.
Okojie’s other songs include Child of God, Immanuel, We Ose, Owase, and Ayo.
