Dr Salma Anas, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Health, and other stakeholders on Thursday lauded the former Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Primary Health Care Agency, Dr Faisal Shuaib, for his commitment in healthcare delivery in the country.
Speaking at the Development Partners’ Appraisal of Dr Shuaib’s seven-year tenure as NPHCDA’S boss, Anas said Faisal was commitment to supporting the community and delivering vaccines to children.
“Dr Faisal is a dedicated individual who defied odds and made a significant impact on healthcare in Nigeria.
“Against the backdrop of a health crisis that plagued the Borno region, forcing many to flee, amidst this turmoil, Dr Faisal caught my attention for his willingness to face the challenges head-on.
“Faisal’s commitment to supporting the community and delivering vaccines to children struck a chord with on me,” she said.
A representative of serving directors in the agency, Director of Research and Statistics, Dr Abdulahi Garba, commended Faisal’s accomplishments during his tenure.
