Ayodele, who is also the Chairman, Committee on Youth and Sports in the state House of Assembly made the call during a courtesy visit by the Chairman, National Youth Council Of Nigeria, Akolawole Shoremi, at his office in Abeotuka, the state capital, on Tuesday.
He stressed that job opportunities for our youths should be paramount for government of the state.
“I want to urge His Excellency, Dapo Abiodun to create a database for Ogun youth so that the qualified ones for job opportunities can be picked accordingly for jobs through the database created.
“If we have a strong database, the son of nobody can become somebody without knowing anybody. The database will be a guide for the government to check and search for qualified candidates to employ for any vacant position,” a statement by Ayodele’s media aide, Adeyemi Obadimu, read.
The lawmaker called for strategies to complement youth development towards the commitment to the agenda of employment and job creation in the state.
He assured using his office as the chairman committee on youth and sports in the state to make impact while promising to ensure that youths are considered.
On his part, Shoremi urged the government to elevate its commitment to the state by ensuring dividends of democracy is felt by all and sundry.
