A popular singer, Ahmed Ololade, aka Asake, was at his entertaining best at the recently held Coke Studio concert, where he thrilled attendees with several of his hit songs.
The event, which held at the Jewel Aeida Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos, was also graced by other top entertainers, such as Rema, Mayorkun and Bnxn.
With pulsating energy, the event was a celebration of the country’s musical diversity, as the guest artistes took turns to serenade attendees, who couldn’t get enough of their favourite acts.
Belting out hits after hits, the artistes took the audience on a musical journey that came to a rousing crescendo with some of the trending songs of the moment.
Aside from the artistes, there was also a posse of dancers who entertained the audience with riveting dance routines that added spice to the well attended event. This was even as guests got a rare glimpse into the creative process of the featured artistes during an engaging question-and-answer session.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the event, the Marketing Director of Coca-Cola Nigeria, Yusuf Murtala, noted that it was conceived to provide artistes with a platform to explore collaborations in producing eclectic and unique sounds.
He said, “Coke Studio’s launch is our homage to Nigeria’s pulsating music scene. We intend to create a confluence of artistes where they can synergise their innate talents to orchestrate something genuinely extraordinary.”
