Adeboye was said to have stolen some items and cash from the residence he was deployed to in Abeokuta as a security officer.
The agency’s Commander, Soji Ganzallo, confirmed Adeboye’s dismissal in a statement made available to The PUNCH on Friday by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Moruf Yusuf.
According to Ganzallo, Adeboye was dismissed Thursday “for his involvement in a stealing case that took place in the apartment where he was posted at Onibukun Area of Obantoko in Abeokuta.”
Ganzallo noted that the owner of the apartment had on November 12, complained over some missing items worth a lot of money.
“The said development had compelled the agency to carry out aggressive investigation which led to the arrest of Adeboye, one of the officers attached to the beat, on November 21. He later confessed that he truly committed the crime,” Ganzallo stated.
He noted that the suspect “admitted to have stolen series of things on different occasions in the apartment.”
The corps commander explained that the client had accepted that the dismissed officer return all the stolen items.
“The general public is hereby advised to desist from relating with the dismissed Adeboye Sunday as an officer of the agency; whoever associates with him does so is at his/her own peril.
“So-Safe will not condone any act that can make the good people of the state lose trust in its excellent security service delivery for the state.
“This step taken will serve as a deterrent to others who would want to compromise at their duty posts,” Ganzallo warned.
