The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmed Idris, stated this in a statement made available to journalists in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, on Saturday.
Idris quoted his principal as making the remarks shortly after inspecting the roads at the Gwandangwaji area in the state capital.
The governor commended both the state Ministry of Works as well as the contractor handling the work for what he described as a “job well done.”
He explained that his administration would remain resolute in providing more infrastructure to ensure speedy development across the state.
Idris, who expressed joy over the work also promised to extend a similar gesture to the other three Emirates in the state, saying, “We have already flagged off Yauri township road, they will soon move to Zuru and Arugungu Emirates for the same project.”
The governor reiterated the readiness of his administration to prioritise work in other sectors including; education, health and youth empowerment.
Also speaking, the state Commissioner for Works, Muslim Farouk, thanked the governor for finding them worthy to handle the work and assured him that the work would be completed at the stipulated time.
