Dr. Nonye Soludo, the wife of Anambra State Governor Prof Charles Solodu, set off on a heartfelt tour to various welfare institutions and orphanages in the state.
Dr. Nonye visited a number of facilities, including God’s Care School for Special Needs, Blessed-Nise Community Children’s Home in Nise, Model Community Children’s Home in Ifite-Awka, and St. Martin’s Community Children/Welfare Home in Igboukwu, motivated by a profound sense of compassion and a desire to show love to those who are frequently forgotten by society.
Dr. Nonye emphasized the importance of helping the less fortunate during the Christmas season when she spoke at St. Martin’s, her first destination. She stated that Christmas loses its true meaning without the practice of love and kindness.
She said“ This visit is incredibly important to me, Christmas is about celebrating with those less fortunate and bringing joy to their lives. I want to encourage everyone to extend a hand of compassion and kindness to those around them who are less fortunate. I believe humanity will be better when everyone feels loved and protected.”
In Anambra, Dr. Nonye promised to visit welfare institutions and children’s homes run by the state, the church, and private organizations before Christmas. She sent the caretakers her sincere gratitude for their steadfast love, commitment, and selflessness in raising the kids.
Her initiative struck a profound chord with Most Rev. Peter Cardinal Okpaleke, the Bishop of the Diocese of Ekwulobia. He appealed to people who have a giving nature to help orphans and other marginalized people. He emphasized the possible negative outcomes and issued a warning against abandoning or failing to provide for these youngsters.
Cardinal Okpaleke expressed his profound gratitude to the governor’s wife for being an exemplary leader who exemplifies the genuine meaning of kindness.
During the holidays, Dr. Nonye Soludo’s program is a ray of hope and love. Her efforts to cheer people up and help those in need are evidence of her commitment to building a better future for all Anambra State citizens.
