Azodo, on his verified page on Saturday, had mocked the supposed Twitter standard that he said didn’t permit a man to ask a lady out for more than a month while celebrating his sixth wedding anniversary.
He wrote, “According to Twitter standards, you shouldn’t ask a lady out for more than a month.
“Well, I asked @ajebojesus_ out for 8 years before she said “yes”. When she did, I said let’s go to the alter.”
“Today is our 6th wedding anniversary. Moral of the story: happiness has no template,” he added.
Meanwhile, netizens have feasted on the tweet and have condemned the elongated courtship process the man endured while trying to get his wife.
A netizen, Moses, said, “I’m sorry, but I don’t think I’ll be alive for 8 years.”
Another tweep, Ade said, “The God that did it for you will not do it for me.”
“This is totally unnecessary. Why are y’all hellbent on propagating sick narratives on social media?
“We should learn from you or what?
What’s the moral of your pathetic “simping”?
“8 years is a lot and no mentally balanced person would see it worthy of sharing such s! ck story,” 3rd son wrote.
Beautiful Pain said, “This was probably some traits she saw and kept you on wait for 8 years before she settled for you.”
“you chased after one woman from 2009-2017 👏🏽 gotta give it to u fr. Generational simp 🏆,” Big Bird opined.
“She did a change of institution on her relationship JAMB form to accommodate you. After all else failed, you were there to save her from shame. You’re her Jesus Christ,” Village Parrot declared.
The simp slayer said, “You chased a woman for a decade, and you think she married you out of love?
Fool. She did it out of fear. Who knows?
“You might have hanged yourself if she didn’t give in after disgracing your bloodline for 8 years.”
