Babaganaru made this appeal on Thursday in Pantami Township stadium.
The PUNCH reports that Gombe United’s Mujeeb Odufeso scored the team’s lone goal in the 76th minute against Katsina United.
The team in recent times has suffered humiliation from opposing teams including Kano Pillars’ 5-0 defeat.
Babaganaru said, “I still want to appeal to the government to come to our aid. Most of the time these days, we travel a day to match or on the day of the match. I don’t think it is good for us.
“I’m appealing to the government to come to our aid. We need them to come to help us financially.
While lauding the support of Gombe fans, Babaganaru said, “They should keep on praying for us but with the special grace of God, we are going to do our best to make them happy.”
Meanwhile, the Coach of the visiting team, Abubakar Bala, declined comment on the defeat record by his boys.
