At least 12 people have lost their lives while 39 others were injured in Indonesia on Sunday after an explosion at a Chinese-funded nickel-processing plant in an eastern province.
This was made known by the Spokesperson for PT Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park, Dedy Kurniawan, which runs the complex where the plant operates in a statement.
“The current number of victims is 51 people. 12 people died in the incident. There are 39 people with minor and serious injuries,” Kurniawan said.
