The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Katsina State Command, has decorated 450 newly promoted personnel of the corps.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the NSCDC recently elevated 21,385 personnel across the country.
The commandant of the corps in the state, Mr. Jamilu Indabawa, decorated the promoted officers, on Sunday in Katsina.
He commended the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Audi, for their commitments to ending the stagnation of officers.
“Promotion is a privilege, not a right. The minister and the CG have been emphasising their intentions to stump out stagnation of promotion in the corps, and that has been achieved.
“On behalf of the personnel of NSCDC Katsina command, we thanked the minister, our CG and the top management for this magnanimous gesture,” Indabawa stated.
He tasked the promoted officers to be disciplined, dedicated and incorruptible in executing the mandate of the corps.
