Uwakwe gave the advice on Monday when he distributed over 1,000 bags of rice to the youths of the state for the Christmas celebration.
He said that the governor was committed to empowering more youths of the state in many key institutions of the state’s economy.
Uwakwe said that though Christmas comes with a lot of tempting offers for fragile minds, the youths of the state must remain focused and determined to make it through legitimate means.
He said that the governor’s second term which kicks off in January will witness more youth employment programs for the youths.
Uwakwe said, “Remember you are the hope of our state. The future of Imo state. You must not allow yourselves to be carried away by the glamours of the moment. You must not allow yourselves to be lured into crime. Remain committed to noble ideals and affection for our great state.
“Our governor is committed to empowering more youths of the state. His second term reign shall witness lots of youth employment activities. This is a father who loves his children. We must keep praying for our state now and in the years to come.”
