According to a statement by the state NSCDC spokesperson, DSC Abolurin Oluwaseun, on Friday, the decoration was done on Thursday at the state command’s headquarters, in Alausa, Ikeja.
Oluwaseun said the State Commandant, Usman Alfadarai, advised the promoted officers to justify their new ranks with professional, operational and administrative performances and be good ambassadors of the corps.
“The promoted officers should not see the promotion as an advantage to intimidate their colleagues or a reason to undermine the professional ethics and practice of our highly revered and esteemed service.
“Justify your new ranks, with more professional, operational and administrative results for the service and keep the flag flying,” Alfadarai said.
He also thanked the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and the Commandant General, NSCDC, Ahmed Audi, and his entire top management for deeming it fit to recognise and reward hard work, professionalism, discipline and dedication to service.”
PUNCH Online earlier on December 1 reported that the FG ordered Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration, and Prisons Services Board to promote a total of 32,361 personnel across all ranks.
