The presentation of the grants was made by the District Superintendent of the church in West and Central Africa, Isaac Adigun, during the closing event of the 2023 annual International Youth Camp, tagged, “Ebenezer Night,” which was held in Ogun State.
The PUNCH reports that the youth arm of the church had called on youth entrepreneurs to submit business pitches to win grants to support their businesses.
However, six finalists were shortlisted including a Future Africa Award winner, Uche Udekwe.
The church noted that the second runner-up bagged N500,000 with the first runner-up, Uche Udekwe bagging N750,000.
The winner, Eunice Adewale, bagged N1m.
A statement on the official Facebook page of the Church noted that, “Over 100 people started the race to becoming the winner of the business pitch 2023.”
In 2022, the church awarded N2.6m to seven business owners.
