The minister made the solidarity call after her visit to the actor in a private hospital in Abuja.
DAILY POST reports that Orji was rushed to the hospital over the weekend after he reportedly slumped in his toilet.
However, giving an update about the actor’s health in a statement issued by her spokesperson, Nneka Anibeze on Wednesday, the minister revealed that the actor underwent brain surgery.
While calling on well meaning Nigerians to rally behind Orji, Musawa prayed for his recovery.
“We have watched him entertain us, and we see him as a national treasure. So the best we can do is to ensure that we support him in getting the best treatment.
“We will also reach out to other well meaning Nigerians to support him through prayers and other means to ensure that he survives this ailment.
“God will heal him. We will do all we can to support him. We solicit the collective prayers of Nigerians.”
