The post caused a stir as some users mocked her for believing that cooking for a man at that early hour would keep him, while some others supported her by contributing to celebrate her dedication.
The Lagos State-based mother became a millionaire in less than 48 hours as Nigerians began to shower her with gifts, both in cash and in-kind.

Retweeting her post on Friday, where she had shared her account details with a user who wanted to contribute to buy her a refrigerator, Debbie, wrote, “Jesus Christ, who sent that???? Wo, God bless your finances, you won’t work in vain. Your littlest efforts will bring forth great fruits. I’m thankful..😭🙏🏽 ese gan. Let me share it with my mum😁.”
In less than an hour, Mummy Zee posted again, “Who now?? Who sent another 40k again? 😭😭😭 I don’t even have words, but by God’s Grace and Mercy, you’ll make progress, and the year will bring ease to all of your endeavours. 😭🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽.”
On the same day, after receiving an additional N50,000, she tweeted, “WHO SENT 50K JUST NOW, WHO???😭😭 AHHH. OLUWA OSE O (Thank you, God), ELEDA MI MODUPE O (My creator, I’m grateful)🙌🏽🙌🏽 whoever you are you’ll never know lack. Orisun yin oni gbe (Your source will not go dry).🥺🙏🏽🙌🏽.”
Later that day, Mrs. Olaki shared a screenshot of her account balance, showing that she had N568,125.91. Her caption read, “She’fe pami ni (Do you want to kill me?)😭😭🤲🏽🙏🏽 I’ve never seen this amount before. I’ve been busy at the hospital and turned off DND to see this, ahhh Jesus. Thank you all so much 🙏🏽🤲🏽😭”
Also sharing that her account balance was over a million naira on Friday afternoon, she wrote, “To everyone responsible for this, I don’t have words, but I’ve cried out my heart in prayers for everyone who donated, reposted and wished me well. My head hurts and I just want to sleep. Thank you all so much. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽.”
By Saturday morning, the donations had reached over two million naira. Sharing a screenshot of her account balance, she tweeted that the donations were enough and she was scared.
Her tweet read, “Where’s the tweet with my account number again gan sef. Please it’s okay, I’m scared😭🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽.”
Replying to a user who told her to pick her choice from four photos of bed frames, Debbie wrote, “Yeeee!!! Eje Jesu (Blood of Jesus). If someone didn’t bring this to my DM I wouldn’t have seen it😭. Frame 3 ni o. We love it. Thank you 🥺🙏🏽🙏🏽”
When a smartphone company, Infinix Nigeria, offered its latest device, Infinix Hot 40, to Debbie and her husband, she tweeted, “Yaaaaayy. New phone ti de o oko mi💃.” Translated in English as “My husband, a new phone is here!”
With a lot of donations pouring in for her, it seemed like Debbie became confused at some point. Replying to someone who offered her a generator, she said “I’m sorry for rejecting. I’m just confused jare. I’ll send a dm🙏🏽.”
Following the increased engagement that followed her tweets, some users repeatedly told her to monetise her X account. Replying to one of the tweets which read, “PAY FOR BLUE TICK AND MONETIZE YOUR ACCOUNT! ” Debbie said, “No dey shout for my head😩 I’ll do it now.”
She also appeared to have lost track of the messages and tweets she had received on X from netizens who offered her donations. Mummy Zee wrote, “Please help me find the guy that wants to gift my family a wardrobe. I can’t find him🙏🏽🙏🏽.”
She also advised users sending the little they had not to empty their purses for a half-filled one.
She tweeted, “Everybody sending 500, 100, 10 naira, my heart prays specially for you cause it takes a good heart to give their widow’s mite. But please don’t do this to yourselves, don’t empty your purse for one that’s half filled. 🙏🏽”
On Sunday, a toothpaste brand, Colgate Nigeria gifted her a year’s supply of Colgate oral care essentials.
Colgate wrote, “Hello #_Debbie_OA, your story had us grinning from ear to ear😀. We want you to have more than enough reasons to keep smiling with a full-year supply of Colgate oral care essentials. How do you want it delivered to you?”
Replying to this, Debbie tweeted, “Let’s smile very well this year😁😁. Thank you #colgate_ng, we’re grateful 🥺🙏🏽 I’ll be in your DM.”
Similarly, a hair extensions company, Lush Hair Nigeria, on Sunday, also gifted her a year’s supply of their products and free hair makeovers.
A tweet on the official X handle of Lush Hair Nigeria wrote, “Hello #_Debbie_OA, we are so proud of you and your love story and we would love to offer you a year’s worth supply of Lush Hair Products and free hair makeovers at our salon throughout the year.”
Replying to Lush, Debbie tweeted, “🥺🥺🥺💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽Oh my God, this is hugeee🥺 I love this. Thank you so much #lushhairnigeria 🥺🙏🏽🙏🏽 I’ll be in your DM.”
Indomie Noodles also tweeted, “Well done #_Debbie_OA. We’d like to show some love to your family with cartons of Indomie 🥰. Please send your address to our DM so we can arrange the logistics, thank you.”
PUNCH Online reports that Netizens have donated over N5 million to Debbie. She also got recommended for a Virtual Assistant role, a remote job that pays N50,000 monthly.
Infinix Nigeria contributed its latest device, Infinix Hot 40, while the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited provided a free N200,000 PMS voucher.
The National Information Development Agency stepped in, promising two laptops and a one-year internet subscription, while Kemsan Acres, a real estate company, gifted the couple land in one of their estates in Ibadan.
Oyo Health Insurance also offered Debbie a Family Plan package under the Oyo State Health Insurance Scheme.
Several other individuals have also offered different contributions to the lady and her family.
