This is as Giadom officially welcomed 27 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the APC.
Giadom spoke at a New Year luncheon organised by the FCT Minister in his country home, Rumueprikom in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state on Sunday.
While noting that he would like to see Wike come over to the APC, Giadom said consultations and prayers are on to make the FCT Minister change his mind and dump his party, the PDP.
“We have consulted a lot of prayer warriors so that you will change your mind and leave the PDP and join our party. That prayer I know will work,” the APC chieftain noted.
He thanked the former Rivers State Governor for the support he gave to the APC presidential candidate in the 2023 election, saying the party is indebted to him and would continue to work with him.
Giadom, who hosted Wike in Bera, his country home in Gokana LGA of Rivers State on Saturday, also expressed happiness that the APC is now in control of the state House of Assembly.
He said, “The former Governor of Rivers State, now Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Before me here is the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, a proud member of the All Progressives Congress and other members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
“My party is grateful, we are enriched and we are in firm control of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
“Let me use this opportunity to thank my brother and my friend, His Excellency, Nyesom Wike for the monumental support he gave to our presidential candidate in the 2023 election. Hon. Minister, we thank you for your support and we value your support.
“I want to say as a member of the National Working Committee of our great party, we will not take your support for granted. We will continue to work with you and partner with you. And the performing President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu will continue to hold you and work with you.
“As a political party, we are aware that your main business in politics is to unite Rivers State. Continue to unite Rivers State. The unity we have today in Rivers State is not easy to accomplish. We owe you that support, we owe you that friendship. “
