The agent, Mamuka Jugeli, had stated in an interview earlier this week that Osimhen “will go to Saudi Arabia next summer.”
However, this didn’t go down well with the recently crowned 2023 African Footballer of the Year, who took to his Instagram story on Wednesday to show his displeasure at his teammate’s agent.
He wrote, “Dear Mamuka Jugeli, you are a piece of filth and a disgrace. I’m embarrassed at your sense of reasoning. Dumbf*ck! Keep my name out of your your mouth!”
Osimhen had signed a contract with the Serie A cklub in Decmber, extending his stay until 2026.
However, the striker who leads the Nigerian Super Eagles’ attack line in the 2023 African Cup of Nations holding in Cote d’Ivoire, had, in early January, agreed to leave Napoli, for a move to Chelsea in the summer, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
According to TEAMtalk, the 25-year-old will not be moving this month but is willing to sign a pre-agreement in January before officially making the switch to Chelsea at the end of the season.
The report also states that the likes of Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel have been in regular contact with Osimhen, hoping to persuade him to join Chelsea.
