No fewer than 600 Nollywood actors will be featured in the production of a new movie titled, Apaara, which will be shot in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The actors penciled down to feature in the movie produced by Damilare Adebayo and Sunday Alabi Osibata include Ibrahim Chatta, Bimbo Adeboye, Yemi Shodimu, Antar Laniyan, Bolaji Amusan (Mr Latin), Bimbo Oshin, Iyabo Ojo and Muyiwa Ademola.
Speaking during the unveiling of the artwork for the new film, the director, Damola Olatunji, said he was attracted to the work by its storyline, and characters; as well as the producers involved.
He stated that over 600 actors will feature in the Yoruba movie.
He added, “Apaara is here to correct ills in society. It is a world class project that will speak for itself.
“All we need is support and encouragement. The multimillion naira project will, among other things, boost economic activities in the state.
Olatunji commended the Ondo State government for creating an enabling environment for talents and creativity in the state, maintaining that the state government had been doing well in the security of lives and property.
Also speaking on the project, the executive producer of the movie and CEO of Modern Star Investment Limited, Damilare Adebayo, said he was inspired by the script, ‘which brings a captivating story to life and provokes actions’.
