In the spirit of unity and shared purpose, The Old Students’ Association, Command Day Secondary School (CDSSJ), Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Rukuba, Jos, Plateau State, popularly known as Ex-Commandos Association has called on all Christians and Muslims to join hands in a collective effort to seek for divine guidance and blessings for the new year.
The fasting and prayer programme starts today, Wednesday, 17th January 2024, and would be rounded off on Friday, 19th January 2024.
The 3-day fasting and prayer journey is themed: “Maximising 2024,” is an opportunity for members to reflect, pray, and foster a sense of solidarity.
While Muslim participants will conclude their fast during the Jumʿah Prayer Service on Friday, the Christians will finalize the spiritual endeavour with a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday.
Mr. Emmanuel Onyeme, the National President, emphasized the importance of this shared spiritual effort in fostering a collective sense of solidarity, reflection, and aspirations for a prosperous and fulfilling 2024.
The Association believes that the joint efforts of its members in seeking divine intervention would contribute to the realisation of shared goals for the year ahead.
Participation from all members is encouraged to make this spiritual journey a meaningful and fruitful experience.
