A budding singer, Emuemu Goodnews, aka Gnewzy, says that though the music industry is saturated with diverse talents, his dedication to authenticity sets him apart from other artistes.
The artiste, who is signed to Eric Many Entertainment, told Sunday Scoop, “What sets me apart is my unwavering authenticity and knack for storytelling. My music is a reflection of my experiences, and I tell it with a unique blend of afrobeats and contemporary influences. I aim to create a sound that not only entertains but also resonates with listeners on a personal level. When people listen to my music, they are not just hearing beats, but are experiencing a piece of my journey, and connecting with the emotions behind each song. I believe in making music that will stand the test of time, and leave a lasting impact on listeners.”
Asked about the inspiration behind his debut single titled, Sneakers, Gnewzy said, “The song was inspired by the everyday ‘hustle’ that many people go through to make ends meet. It is a celebration of self-expression, individuality, and the journey to success. The idea for the song actually came to me while I was reflecting on the struggles and triumphs of pursuing one’s dreams, and the metaphor of ‘sneakers’ became a powerful symbol of that journey.”
He added that he aimed to inspire and motivate listeners to embrace their unique paths and persevere through challenges, as there was always light at the end of the tunnel.
