The University of Ilorin, UNILORIN, has reacted to the trending rumours surrounding the alleged abduction of one of her students, Adebola, Moyosore Bright, a 100L Zoology Student in the Faculty of Life Sciences. In a press statement recently released by the institution, the university disclosed that her student is safe and that the ‘purported’ abduction is nothing but a cooked-up falsehood.
The university management spoke through the Director of Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun, disclosing that Moyosore Bright is in good health and condemned the false information. It underscored UNILORIN’s commitment to the provision of a safe environment for learning, research, and community service thereby revalidating the institution’s dedication to its tripartite mandate.
UNILORIN, therefore, urged the public to rely on only credible information and assures all students, parents, and stakeholders that the campus is still safe. The Management therefore appealed for caution against the unabated and continuing spread of unfounded rumours with a reassurance of its commitment to the welfare and safety of all members of the university community.
