The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the appointments of Major Olaniyi Cole (retd.) as the new Corps Marshal of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps Agency, also known as KAI.
The governor also approved the appointment of Adefemi Afolabi as the General Manager for the Lagos State Waste Water Management Office.
In separate letters of appointment signed by the Head of Service, Mr Bode Agoro, the new appointments took effect from January 25, 2024.
A statement on Tuesday by the Director of Public Affairs, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Mr Kunle Adeshina, added that the governor also approved the appointments of three new Deputy Corps Marshals for LAGESC/KAI namely: Mr Osifeso Shakiru – Intelligence and Monitoring; Mr Oyenola Quadril – Discipline and Welfare; and Mr Apena Yisa – Admin.
The appointment of the three new Deputy Corps Marshals, two of whom were elevated from the LAGESC/KAI personnel, also took effect on the 25th of January, 2024,” the statement said.
“The Head of Service enjoined the new appointees to demonstrate a high level of dedication, diligence and selflessness in the discharge of their duties to justify the confidence and trust of Mr Governor,” Adeshina added.
