Winners of the Cowbellpedia Annual Quiz Competition for 2023 have been rewarded with a cash reward of N5m and a trip to South Africa.
The winners are Adoga Daniel and Joseph Okechukwu of the Graceland International School, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
In a statement made available to The PUNCH on Wednesday, the students credited their success to their perseverance and hard work throughout the competition.
The Marketing Director, Promasidor, maker of Cowbell and organiser of the competion, Adebola Williams, said,“Cowbellpedia is a celebration of educational excellence. It’s not about competition, it’s bringing the brightest and the best from all around our secondary schools together to compete.”
The Category Manager, Dairy Promasidor Nigeria Limited, Donatus Ukpai, noted that the initiative had been promoting academic success for 25 years.
“It’s been 25 years since the company has been supporting academic excellence. Cowbellpedia is dedicated to showcasing the dreams and aspirations of students and the younger generation.
The statement partly read, “The winners of the 2023 Cowbellpedia Competition have attributed their victory to hard work and dedication during the championship. The Cowbellpedia TV quiz show culminated in a grand finale that crowned Agbo Adoga from Graceland Secondary School as the Junior Category champion and Joseph Okechukwu from Graceland International School, Port Harcourt, as the Senior Category champion.
“Cowbellpedia witnessed participation from over 1,000 schools across the country, showcasing the breadth and depth of talent in Nigeria. Winners who emerged in the 2nd place junior and senior category received the sum of N3m each and one year supply of Cowbell products each, the 3rd Place positions received N2m each and one year supply of Cowbell products each, the 4th Place positions received N500,000.
“The Teachers and Parents also won amazing cash prizes and a year’s supply of Cowbell products. The winners from the parents’ episodes won N500,000 each for both the Senior and Junior categories, while the 1st and 2nd runners-up won N400,000 and N300,000 respectively.”
