The drugs were intercepted at the Kajiji area along Sokoto-Jega Road.
Also intercepted were counterfeit drugs whose duty-paid values were not yet ascertained.
Addressing newsmen on the seizure on Thursday, the Coordinating Comptroller, Kolapo Oladeji, said the arrest was made through an intelligent report.
“These drugs are very dangerous to the health of our people.
“Some of them even carried fake NAFDAC registration and expiring date,” he said
He also disclosed that his team was able to intercept trucks load of food items heading to Niger Republic through the Kebbi border.
“We will leave no stone unturned to block food smuggling out of the country because of the current situation in the country
“We all know that prices of food items have skyrocketed because of the unpatriotic acts of some Nigerians. Our people are hungry but they prefer to take the food to other countries despite the border closures imposed by ECOWAS.
“We will continue to trail them and block their routes. And whoever is caught in this nefarious act will face the full wrath of the law,” he said
The agency also intercepted 60 jerry cans of petrol along Illela border which were auctioned to the public.
