He stated, “As we prepare to celebrate our 34th Convocation Ceremony, we are delighted to announce that we are set to graduate a total 13, 816 graduands out of which 8,146 are for the award of First Degree certificates.
“3,665 are for the Post Graduate Diploma, 1,528) are for Masters Degrees and 477 are for Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) respectfully.”
Georgewill commended the Federal Government, the Rivers State Government, corporate organizations, and well-meaning individuals for their support in the infrastructural development of the school.
He also lauded the students of the institution for maintaining peace, pointing out that since 2021 there has been no protest on campus despite some challenges.
“The university is grateful to the Federal Government for the infrastructural development of the university. We also commend the students of the university for maintaining peace.
“Since 2021 there has not been a demonstration in this school. I want to commend the students’ leaders for ensuring that issues are amicably resolved,” the VC said.
He said the university had benefited immensely from the generous support of both federal and state governments.
“These contributions have enabled it to enhance its infrastructure, expand its academic offerings, and improve the overall learning environment for students.”
