The executive includes Nelson Uluocha of the YPP as the new Abia State chairman, Eze Nwoke Edward of the SDP as the State Secretary, Hon. Joseph Ulu of the NRM as the Publicity Secretary, while Bar. Ikenna Edozie of the AA is the Legal Adviser and Ogbonna Uma of the According Party is the treasurer.
Speaking after the election conducted by the chairman of the Electoral Committee, Uchechukwu Ogbonna, the new chairman of Abia IPAC, Nelson Uluocha, assured that his new executive will not derail in doing the right thing they were elected to do in the state.
According to him, the new executive of IPAC is coming with a new vigour towards enabling a peaceful political environment for Abians and thanked all who in one way or the other assisted in making the election smooth and peaceful.
Also reacting, the new Publicity Secretary, Joseph Ulu said, “It is going to be a new chapter in the history of IPAC in Abia State. We are going to work as a team to better the lots of Abians and will collaborate with Abia Orientation Agency and other relevant stakeholders to organize the political landscape of Abia.”
Of all the positions, four positions were elected unopposed and they are that of the Deputy Secretary (YPP), Treasurer (According), Publicity Secretary (NRM) and Legal Adviser (AA).
The new executive was duly sworn in to replace the last one headed by Ceekay Igara of the Labour Party, LP.
The election was witnessed by the Independent National Electoral Commission, in Abia, government officials and the security agencies in the state
