Wunmi, the widow of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has finally broken her silence on her father-in-law’s request for a DNA test to establish the paternity of their son, Liam.
It’s no secret that Mohbad’s father, Mr. Joseph Aloba, has repeatedly expressed doubt about the paternity of his grandson and demanded a DNA test.
He once insinuated that Wunmi was promiscuous and cheated on her husband with some individuals in his former record label, Marlian Music.
Reacting to the DNA request in a series of posts shared on her Instagram page, Wunmi stated that her husband never doubted the paternity of their son during his lifetime.
She also mentioned that her father-in-law didn’t doubt that Liam is his grandson until Mohbad passed away, and she heard about his doubt for the first time on social media.
On why the test has not been conducted yet, Wunmi disclosed that her father-in-law has refused to get a court order for them to proceed with the DNA test. According to her, she can’t release her son to him for safety reasons, considering all that has transpired since her husband passed away in September 2023.
She also urged the general public to appeal to her father-in-law to get a court order so that the test can be conducted once and for all, as he is not making any move about it.
