Popular actress, Adebimpe Oyebade aka Mo Bimpe has celebrated after her husband, Lateef Adedimeji, bagged his first lead role nomination at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).
Recall that the AMVCA over the weekend released its 2024 nominees list for the 10th edition of the prestigious award.
The actor was nominated for the best lead actor for his exquisite performance in Femi Adebayo’s movie, ‘Jagun Jagun’.
Taking to her Instagram page, Mo Bimpe, who celebrated her birthday a few days back, stated that the news was the most sensational gift to her.
She expressed pride in her husband as she stated that she was never in doubt of him as she noted how his hard work, dedication and professionalism have never gone unnoticed.
She said: “Yay Hubstar @adedimejilateef has been nominated for the big one, the best lead actor at the 10th AMVCA… What a sensational birthday gift for me. My darling husband, I’m proud of you, I was never in doubt, that your hard work, dedication, and professionalism would never go unnoticed, this is well deserved Alhaji.”
Reacting to the news, Lateef Adedimeji, revealed that his wife had informed him of his nomination, which left him speechless.
He expressed gratitude to his Maker as he stated that being recognised for what he does is a love language for him and right now, he is elated.
The actor asserted that his nomination is a win for everyone around him who has contributed to his growth.
Appreciating them, he promised to continue giving his best to his fans and supporters.
