Tinubu’s congratulatory message is contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, titled ‘President Tinubu celebrates His Royal Majesty, Olu of Warri, on birthday.’
Ngelale said,, “The President joins the good people of Warri Kingdom in celebrating the renaissance monarch, extolling his strength of character, clear-sightedness, and zest for peace, progress, and development of Itsekiri land and its people.”
He also commended the Olu of Warri for his support for youth-centred initiatives and development programmes, acknowledging Nigeria’s youths as the nation’s greatest asset.
“As His Royal Majesty marks this milestone birthday, the President wishes the monarch good health and strength and many years of prosperity on the throne of his forebears,” the statement concluded.
Born Utieyinoritsetsola Emiko, on April 2, 1984, Ogiame Atuwatse III is the son of Prince Godwin Emiko and Gladys Emiko.
He attended NNPC Primary School in Warri and Adesoye College, Offa, Kwara State for his primary and secondary education respectively.
In 2006, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Political Science from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
He also obtained a Masters of Science degree in Management from the Weatherhead School of Management of the same university.
He was crowned the 21st Olu of Warri on August 21, 2021 at Ode-Itsekiri, succeeding his uncle, Ogiame Ikenwoli I.
In October 2022, former President Muhammadu Buhari conferred upon him the national honour of Commander Of The Order Of The Federal Republic.
