Two people were on Friday killed while one other was injured in an accident around the Idogo junction on Ilaro-Owode Yewa Road, Ogun State.
This is just as the Ogun Sector Command of Federal Road Safety Corps has threatened to begin a clampdown on motorists parking indiscriminately on the roads.
The accident reportedly involved a Mitsubishi car marked JJJ168JF and a truck with registration number, T12224LA.
The car, suspected to have been on top speed, was said to have crashed into the truck wrongfully packed on the road
The spokesperson of sector command, Florence Okpe, stated this in a statement made available on Friday.
The injured victims and the corpses were said to have been taken to a general hospital and Hosanna Hospital, Ilaro.
The statement partly read, “The FRSC Ilaro Unit Command carried out a rescue operation on the Ilaro-Owode route around Iyana Odogo on a crash that occurred at about 0600hrs. The crash involved two vehicles: a Mitsubishi car with registration number, JJJ854JH, and a truck, T12224LA.

“The injured victims and corpses were taken to General Hospital, Ilaro, and Hosanna Hospital, Ilaro.”
Meanwhile, Ogun Sector Commander of the FRSC, Anthony Uga, has directed that the corps marshall should henceforth begin a routine check on indiscriminate parking, and anyone found committing such an infraction should face the wrath of the law.
He further advised motorists to drive within the stipulated speed limit.
