Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in the 2023 election has stormed the party’s headquarters in Abuja.
He was at the party’s National Secretariat along with other party members from the six geo-political zones, on Tuesday.
It is not clear for the reason behind the latest development.
However, from the banners, drumming and singing by various cultural groups representing prominent ethnic groups, the gathering appears to be a solidarity rally in support of the National Chairman, Comrade Julius Abure.
This may not be unconnected to the leadership crisis between the LP and the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC.
Abure was on March 27 re-elected for a second term by a unanimous affirmation of delegates despite the protests by the NLC.
