The Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Deputy President of the Senate, Jibrin Barau and Olamilekan Adeola, have extended their felicitation to the Muslim community on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In a congratulatory message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, on Saturday.
The senate President highlighted the significance of Eid-el-Kabir as a time of sacrifice and joy.
He urged Nigerians to make the necessary sacrifices for a better future, acknowledging the challenges posed by the current economic reforms.
“On behalf of my family, the people of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, the Senate, and the entire 10th National Assembly, I congratulate our Muslim faithful on this important feast of Eid-el-Kabir. May Allah grant you a joyous and peaceful celebration,” Akpabio stated.
Akpabio reassured Nigerians that the reforms being implemented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration are designed to correct past mistakes and improve the nation for all.
He further empathised with those facing hardships, urging patience and perseverance as the government works towards better days.
He assured that the 10th National Assembly, under his leadership, will collaborate with the President to provide necessary legislative support for national growth.
Akpabio also extended his congratulations to President Tinubu on celebrating his second Eid-el-Kabir in office, praying for divine wisdom and strength for the President to fulfil his promises.

Barau emphasised the administration’s commitment to transforming the nation’s fortunes positively, encouraging Nigerians to support Tinubu’s efforts.
“I wish Muslims and indeed all Nigerians a memorable Eid-el-Kabir. This season reminds us to place our faith in Allah’s compassion and wisdom,” Barau said, advocating for peace, tolerance, justice, and charity.
He reiterated the National Assembly’s dedication to developing legislation that addresses national challenges in line with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
On his part, Adeola, representing Ogun West Senatorial District, joined in felicitating with Muslims, urging prayers for peace and the success of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
In his message, Adeola stressed the importance of adhering to Islamic teachings of sacrifice, love, brotherhood, and peaceful coexistence.
Adeola emphasised the need for collective effort in governance and development, urging all Nigerians to contribute to national progress.
He assured his constituents of continued effective representation and efforts to bring federal dividends of democracy to Ogun West.
