In a video that has sparked a lively social media discussion, a Nigerian man residing in Canada has expressed his disappointment over the lack of traditional Eid-el-Kabir delicacies during the recent festivities.
The man, who shared the video on a popular social media platform, can be seen holding a plate containing bread and what appears to be watermelon and other fruits.
With a visible look of disappointment on his face, he laments the absence of the beloved Nigerian dish, jollof rice, as well as the missing meat that is typically associated with Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
“It’s Sallah day, there’s no jollof rice, no meat, I received bread,” the man can be heard saying in the video, clearly disappointed with the feast laid out before him.
The man’s honest expression of his expectations has resonated with many of his fellow Nigerians living abroad, who have flocked to the comment section to share their own experiences with a similar situation
