South-West Zonal Commander of TRACE, Mr Adekunle Ajibade, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria in Ota, Ogun.
Ajibade said that a commercial bus heading towards Lagos from Sango lost control due to brake failure and rammed into the man and his son who were crossing the road.
The TRACE boss said that the father had a sight problem, and the son was leading him to cross the road at Toll-gate when the accident happened at about 6.45 a.m.
“The victims sustained various degrees of injuries and were taken to the State Hospital, Ota, for treatment, while no death was recorded from the incident,” he said.
