Forvis Mazars, a new global network formed by Mazars, an international partnership operating in over 100 countries and territories, and FORVIS, a top-ranked firm in the United States, have come together to mark the official launch of their new global network in Nigeria.
The global network was launched recently in Lagos.
The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Reporting Council, Mr Rabiu Olowo, speaking at the launch, said, “We see scale coming together with Forvis Mazars in Nigeria. This means that this partnership will have a stronger entity, what we envision to be able to carry out and implement our expectations and of the audit regulation, the corporate governance framework to serving their clients and also serving the public interest.”
Speaking, the Managing Partner at Forvis Mazars in Nigeria, Uhabia Ojike, said, “Guided by our principle of ‘Built for Forward,’ this new network strengthens our ability to provide world-class services locally, while also granting access to a broader pool of specialists and industry knowledge.”
Ojike added that this will fuel sustainable growth for our clients, further equipping them with bespoke solutions to navigate the complexities of the global market and compete in the dynamic global space.
The firm announced key leadership roles: Hervé Hélias will be the first Chair of the Global Network Board and continue as Chairman of the Group Executive Board of Forvis Mazars Group, SC. Matt Snow, Chairman of Forvis Mazars, LLP, will serve as Vice Chair.
It also mentioned that in the United States, Tom Watson continues as CEO of Forvis Mazars, LLP (formerly FORVIS, LLP) and joins the Network Board. Rob Pruitt, Fran Randall, and Tim York from Forvis Mazars, LLP also join the Global Network Board.
