A real estate firm, Sparklight Group of Companies, has delivered a two-storey building to the Ìladò Community in the Etí-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The firm stated that the infrastructure fulfilled a joint venture agreement made with the community members and elders a few years ago.
During the building’s handover ceremony last Thursday, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the group, Toyin Adeyinka, said the project’s completion reflected the company’s commitment to providing housing solutions for Nigerians.
“We are here to officially hand over this building and fulfill one of our commitments to the Ilado Community. We are handing over the property that we have developed to the residents. We went into a joint venture partnership.
“They are the owners of the land, and we are the developers. We have fulfilled one of the conditions attached to this development. This building is their share of the venture. It’s a challenging project. We thank God we are able to deliver it.”
The Baale of Ìladò, Chief Haruna Àjànàkú, expressed excitement about the project’s completion and praised the CEO of the company for honouring his promise to the residents.
He said, “This is a good development. We are happy and excited at the same time. The agreement was made between the company and the late Baale. I am happy that the property was handed over to the community during my tenure.
“This property belongs to the community. It is not the personal property of anyone. We thank the company for delivering this, especially during this economic condition. We are happy with them.”
