The runway show featured a carefully curated assemblage of bold and enthralling fashion statements by three of Africa’s finest fashion brands on Day 1 of the highly anticipated event that brought together fashion enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and industry experts to celebrate the continent’s vibrant GTCO fashion scene.
Oríré
Lagos-based fashion brand, Oríré, founded by Orire Alesh, emphasized artistic femininity through distinct artisanal craftsmanship. With a focus on sustainability and ethical production, Oríré’s collection showcased locally sourced and sustainable materials.
Hue by Idera
Nigerian fashion designer and entrepreneur Idera Oyeneyin’s Hue by Idera Atelier presented elegant, handcrafted, and versatile designs. Celebrated for her expertise in fabrics, colour, and craftsmanship, Idera’s brand has earned recognition as a “Top Designer” by This Day Style.
Gert-Johan Coetzee
South Africa’s “Couturier to the Stars,” Gert-Johan Coetzee, wowed the audience with his glamorous, body-conscious red-carpet designs. With a brand that highlights quality craftsmanship with timeless silhouettes, bold colours, and ultra-feminine elements, Coetzee cemented his reputation as a master designer.
Onalaja
Kanyinsola Onalaja’s brand merged modern aesthetics with African art and cultural traditions. With a unique approach that transforms traditional techniques into three-dimensional art, Onalaja’s collection was a standout on the runway.

Romeo Hunte New York, founded by Romeo Hunte, presented a luxury apparel collection with intricate details and a chic flair. With an emphasis on impeccable outerwear attire, Hunte’s designs appealed to fashion enthusiasts seeking modern, sophisticated styles.
