AZACH pioneers sustainable fashion in Nigeria, minimizing environmental impact through upcycling and repurposing second-hand clothing.
Aladimma’s journey began with his childhood hobby of upcycling clothes. After discovering the environmental impact of fashion waste, he became intentional about creating sustainable fashion. His brand now caters to both Gen Z and older generations, combining style with environmental consciousness.
Aladimma source materials from second-hand sellers and customers, transforming them into unique, high-quality pieces. The process involves washing, cutting, and blending fabrics to create aesthetically pleasing designs.
By choosing AZACH, customers support eco-conscious choices, fair wages, and ethical working conditions. AZACH prioritizes quality craftsmanship, creating durable and timeless pieces that reduce the need for frequent replacements. With limited production runs and exclusive designs, customers express individuality while advancing eco-friendly technologies.
While production costs are higher due to the labour-intensive process, Aladimma’s brand has received overwhelming reception. Customers appreciate the eco-friendly aspect and quality of the clothing. Collaborations and partnerships have also emerged from the event.
Aladimma urges the government to provide more opportunities for young entrepreneurs, including: digital events and platforms, funding, mentorship, incubation programmes.
“The government should create more avenues for young talent to thrive. We have a lot of young talent in Nigeria, but they lack funding, exposure, and mentorship.” He added
Aladimma’s brand has been in operation for nearly three years, with a physical office in Ojota, Lagos. The brand’s customer base includes both Gen Z and older generations, who appreciate the stylish, sustainable clothing.
