Traffic officers of the Lagos State Police Command were deployed to major locations including Oshodi Expressway, Maryland, and Allen Avenue as part of the statewide enforcement of the mandatory Third Party Motor Insurance.
The exercise, which is ongoing, is aimed at ensuring compliance with the law and reducing the number of uninsured vehicles on Lagos roads.
Commissioner of Police, CP Olanrewaju Ishola, is urging motorists to ensure compliance with the law and cooperate with enforcement officers. “We urge all motorists to ensure they have valid insurance papers to avoid any embarrassment,” he said.

The police command is committed to ensuring that all vehicles on Lagos roads are insured, and will not hesitate to take action against those who fail to comply.
Motorists are advised to secure valid third-party insurance coverage to avoid penalties, fines, or even imprisonment.
