The Oloorile of Orile Ifo, Oba Semiu Ogunjobi, has been invited to the Ogun State Police Command for questioning over a viral video showing him allegedly subjecting Chief Arinola Abraham Love to dehumanizing treatment.
The video, which has sparked widespread outrage, shows Chief Arinola kneeling on the road while Oba Ogunjobi curses him and his family, accusing him of being a conspirator. The monarch, a retired police officer, boasts about his control over the Nigeria Police and threatens to send Chief Arinola to jail.
In the two-minute video, Oba Ogunjobi spoke in Yoruba, saying: “O ni agbaye… o ni agbaye fun e… awon omo e, awon aya e… eni to ba fe oju re loni, e ma lo si mi… sugbon bi o ba ku, a ma sin mi, kosi ohun to le se.”
Translation: “You are a conspirator… it will never be well with you… your wife and children… whoever thinks he is courageous enough should come out to face me… even if you die, we shall bury you and nothing will happen….”

The video also shows one of the monarch’s companions slapping Chief Arinola and ordering him to prostrate before the royal father.
The Ogun State Police Command has assured that an investigation is underway, and justice will be served. The command emphasized that no individual holds authority over the Nigeria Police Force.
