In commemoration of International Women’s Day 2025, Woman of Substance is hosting a conference themed “Accelerate Action on the Rights, Equality, and Empowerment for Women and Girls”.
The event, tagged “Women Conversations”, is aimed at bringing together renowned women leaders and advocates to discuss and accelerate action on gender equality.
“We are excited to host this conference, which aims to accelerate action on gender equality and women’s empowerment,” said Ms. Ify Onyegbule, the convener and Executive Director of Woman of Substance.
“We believe that by bringing together women leaders and advocates, we can create a collective impact that will drive positive change for women and girls in Nigeria.”
The conference will take place on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, and will feature distinguished speakers including:
Olori Janet Afolabi, Queen of Apomu Kingdom; Mrs. Victoria Ajayi, CEO of TVC Communications; Dr. Josephine Effah Chukwuma, Executive Director of Project Alert on Violence Against Women; Olori Ranti Ajayi, Clinic Manager at NORDICA and Mrs. Bose Ironsi, Executive Director of Women Rights and Health Project.
The conference will provide a platform for women leaders to share their experiences, insights, and expertise on issues affecting women and girls in Nigeria. It will also provide an opportunity for networking, collaboration, and advocacy.
