Rubellite Cosmetics is an African beauty brand founded by Omobolaji Mogaji, a beauty brand consultant with over seven years of proven expertise in helping African beauty entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses.

B.Sc. in Mass Communication, Postgraduate Diploma in Media Management, Master’s in Brand Management from the University of Valencia and Master’s in Marketing from the Rome Business School
She is also the founder of two thriving beauty businesses—Rubellite Cosmetics and Rubellite Hair—as well as the consultancy firm TBE Global, where she equips emerging beauty entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools to thrive in Africa’s fast-growing beauty industry.
Speaking with GATMASH NEWS, Omobolaji shared that her journey started from a deeply personal challenge. As a young melanin-rich girl, she battled acne, which affected her confidence and introduced her to makeup as a form of cover-up. Over time, she realized the root problem:
Most products on Nigerian shelves were not formulated for African skin tones or the region’s humid climate.
Motivated to change this narrative, she pursued cosmetic chemistry and founded Rubellite Cosmetics six years ago with just two products. The brand faced initial resistance—local brands were not fully embraced at the time—but Omobolaji’s persistence and expertise turned the tide.
Today, Rubellite Cosmetics enjoys strong acceptance, especially among makeup artists, educators, and distributors who trust the brand’s carefully formulated products.
She emphasized the growing culture of daily self-care and the importance of choosing skincare and makeup based on ingredients rather than trends.
